How to Have a Good Day

People say that the quality of your life depends on the quality of your days. Here are some ideas for good days:

  1. Do something that scares you.
  2. Get enough quality and quantity of sleep.
  3. Make progress on a thing that’s meaningful to you.
  4. Make progress on a thing that you have to do. Reward yourself afterward.
  5. Read a good book – it doesn’t matter which one.
  6. Nurture a relationship that’s important to you.
  7. Get outside, take a walk, do some exercise.
  8. Eat something that’s truly good for you. Maybe a snack, too.
  9. Get 2-10 minutes of sunlight exposure immediately after waking up.
  10. Create something.
  11. Spend some time away from screens, social media, the news, and other stressors.
  12. Memento mori.
  13. Think about something to be grateful for.
  14. Live, laugh, love.
  15. Try to avoid doing the things that you know are wrong.
  16. Don’t do stupid things that would sabotage your future.
  17. Rest.
  18. Learn something new. Talk about it with someone.
  19. Do something that you’ll be proud of. Be proud.
  20. Challenge yourself. Then reward yourself for it.
  21. Listen to your favorite song. On repeat.
  22. Make someone laugh and laugh with them.
  23. Help someone with something. Then spend some time with them.
  24. Go to sleep satisfied.
